Mendip Camp is positioned in the heart of the picturesque Mendip Hills in Somerset, quietly situated 3 miles from Cheddar Gorge, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Somerset. Mendip Camp is an ideal location for families and groups of all ages to come and experience the splendour of Somerset.

We have enough space for both caravans and tents to be located on site without the feeling of being overcrowded. It is perfectly located for walking, mountain biking and climbing holidays as well as Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Scout, Guide Groups and Cadet groups. Should you wish to explore the surrounding area on foot there is ideal walking straight from the camp in the neighbouring Rowberrow Forest with access to Blackdown, where you will experience beautiful views of the Severn estuary and the Welsh mountains beyond. You also have easy access to Beacon Batch, the highest point on the Mendips at 325m. When you return from your day’s activities we welcome guests to have open fires for which you can purchase bags of logs with kindling from us at £7.00.
